Nestled in the countryside, Clay Hive Pottery Studio is where my passion for creativity, humanity, and the natural world comes to life. Before finding my hands in clay, I spent years caring for others as a healthcare professional—a calling that taught me the depth of human connection, resilience, and the beauty of life's small moments. Throughout my journey, creativity has always been my happy place, my expression, and my joy. From basket weaving and welding to stained glass, painting, and textiles, I've always sought to create something meaningful and unique. When I discovered handmade pottery, it felt like coming home. The tactile nature of clay, the meditative rhythm of the wheel, and the alchemy of turning earth into something both elegant and functional spoke deeply to my soul.
As a mother to three adult children, wife to my husband Joe, and grammie to eight beautiful grandchildren, I’ve come to understand the importance of family and connection in shaping who we are.
Clay Hive Pottery is inspired by the delicate balance of nature and the timeless elegance of simplicity. Each piece is one of a kind, blending organic textures, earthy tones, and graceful forms. My work reflects the quiet beauty of the natural world — a dew-kissed leaf, the flow of a river, or the gentle curve of a petal —infused with the warmth of a human touch.
I believe pottery holds more than utility; it holds stories. It connects us to the earth and to one another. Whether it’s a mug for your morning ritual, a bowl that gathers family meals, or a vase that cradles fresh blooms, my hope is that each piece from Clay Hive brings a sense of calm, connection, and joy to your daily life.
Welcome to my studio—a space where creativity thrives, nature inspires, and clay becomes a canvas for connection.
